The following survey is being conducted as part of a PhD research project through Royal Holloway University of London. You must be at least 18 years old, identify as British Arab and are or have been a professional working Actor to participate.
The research investigates the lived experiences of British Arab actors with the aim of adding to the understanding of representation, diversity and employment opportunities within the UK film and television industry. This research will be conducted in stages:
1. An initial survey to scope the diversity amongst British Arab actors. This will be confidential and also has the option to be anonymized.
2. (Optional) one-to-one, semi-structured in-depth interviews with selected participants to expand on the survey and discuss the personal and professional challenges of being a British Arab actor in the UK industry. These can also be anonymized.
This is the first study on British Arab actors to be conducted. In order to undertake quality analysis, some of the questions may feel too personal. You may skip any questions you feel uncomfortable answering. However, it is important for us to gain an in-depth understanding of the diverse experiences of British Arab actors. Your personal and sensitive information will be treated confidentially and you have the option to submit it anonymously. This is an opportunity for British Arab actors' voices to be heard.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary, and you can withdraw from this survey at any point.
The survey should take approximately 30 minutes to complete, depending on how in-depth you wish to comment. You have the option to save and complete this at later stages.
